A four-run, bottom of the ninth pushed the Alaska 20 Twins past Dimond in extra-innings with the Twins Mose Hayes delivering a two-out, walk-off home run for an 10-7 Twins victory in Alliance Baseball League play on Saturday in Homer.
The Twins played a road “home game” in Homer with a number of players performing in-front-of family and friends at the Homer baseball complex.

In the scheduled seven inning contest, the Twins rallied with two outs in the ninth inning for the ABL victory over Dimond.
Alaska 20 opened with a five-run, first inning (a season best for the first inning) scoring five runs on five hits, scoring the first five batters in the line-up.
Dimond methodically chipped-away at the Twins lead with a single run in the second, third, and fourth innings and a pair of runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-5 lead.
In the bottom of the sixth, Mose Hayes drove-in Harrison Metz to tie the game at 6-6.
Dimond manufactured a 9th-inning run on one infield hit, two walks and a hit batter for a 7-6 lead.
In the bottom of the ninth, the Twins Karl Wickstrom delivered a one-out double and advanced home on a bunt single by Nick Werhstein. Down to their final out, Mose Hayes lifted a line drive to left field which cleared the fence for a walk-off home run and three RBI for Hayes.
Tanner Ussing reached safely in four of five at bats, including three hits and two RBI. Hayes recorded three hits and four RBI. The Twins totaled 12 hits for the contest.
On the mound for the Twins, Mose Hayes pitched 4 2/3 innings allowing four runs and seven hits. Davey Belger closed the final three innings and earned the win allowing one run and one hit.
The Twins improve to 3-2 in the Alliance Baseball League standings; Dimond drops to 3-2 in the ABL.
