The Post 20 Twins American Legion baseball team recorded four victories in Kodiak over a three-day trip to the”Rock”; two league wins and a pair of non-league victories.
In American Legion AA action on Saturday, the Twins downed the Kodiak legion 11-3 and 4-2.
In game one, Post 20 hitters collected 11 hits including a pair of solo home runs for Calvin Hills and Kenny Griffin; Hills finished with three RBI and a 3 for 5 day at the plate.
In game two on Saturday, the Twins Mose Hayes pitched seven innings for the victory allowing six hits and two runs.
In non-league games, the Twins defeat Kodiak on Friday 15-5 in six innings and on Sunday record an 8-3 win in seven innings.
The Post 20 Twins continue league play on Friday in Anchorage against West.
The Twins currently stand in second in the American Division of Alaska Legion Baseball with 5-4 record.
BIll Miller Wood Bat Tournament
Post 20 will host the 2017 Bill Miller Wood Bat Tournament at Coral Seymour Memorial Park beginning on July 4th. The three-day tournament will feature teams from Napoleon, Ohio and Walla Walla, Washington.
