Twins Push Chugiak To State Baseball Final Game

The Post 20 Twins forced a single game, winner take all championship final against Chugiak at the 2015 American Legion Baseball State Tournament at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage on Saturday.

The Chugiak team defeated the Twins 6-0 in the championship game to claim the 2015 title.  Chugiak became to second team in Alaska baseball to win both the American Legion title and the high school baseball state championship in the same year.

The Twins forced a second championship game by defeating Chugiak in the first game on Saturday 7-6 and forcing the final game.  The Twins won five, straight elimination games to advance to the championship game.

Post 20 and Juneau both qualify to the Northwest Regional Class A Regional Tournament set for next week in Logan, Utah.

Chugiak Post 33 will go to Cheyenne, Wyoming, for the Northwest Regional, the first step toward qualifying for the 2015 Legion Baseball World Series.
