Twins Split Legion League Games; Head Into Final Week Of Regular Season

The Post 20 American Legion Twins, at home for the weekend at Oilers Park, split a pair of league games with a victory over South Anchorage and a loss to the Wasilla Road Warriors.

 

Twins 9 – South 8

Cody Quelland’s walk-off single plated the game winner for the Twins in a 9-8 victory against South in the league contest on Saturday at Oilers Park.  The Twins trailed 5-0 through three innings and trailed by four runs in the eighth.  Paul Steffensen lead the offense with a 3 for 5 day, including a two-run home run.  Jeremy Kupferschmid records the win in relief, pitching the final two innings.

 

Twins 0 – Wasilla 12

The Twins struggle on offense on Sunday falling to the Wasilla Road Warriors 12-0  in Alaska American Legion baseball action.
