Twins Split Pair With Valley In Legion Baseball

The Post 20 American Legion Twins split a pair of games on Tuesday against The Valley Post 35/15 in American Legion baseball action at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

The Valley won the first game 6-3 in ten innings and the Twins win game two 10-9, rallying from a 7-0 start.  The Twins league record stands at 2-4, game one counting toward the league record and game two a non-league game.

In game one, the teams tied at 2-2 after a scheduled seven innings play three extra innings for a 6-3 Valley victory.  In game two, Mason Prior scored the game winning run, pinch hitting in the seventh inning.

The Chugiak Post and Dimond Post currently lead the Alaska Legion standings, both teams unbeaten with Chugiak holding a 6-0 record and Dimond standing at 5-0.

 

The Twins return to Coral Seymour Memorial Park on Saturday to play a doubleheader against league-leading Chugiak with games scheduled for noon and 3:00 p.m.
