Twins Split With Service In Legion Doubleheader

The Post 20 Twins split a doubleheader with Service on Saturday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park, with Service taking game one 2-0 and the Twins winning game two 12-6.

 

Twins 0 – Service 2  League Game

Service scored a run in the 5th and a run in the 7th for a 2-0 victory in the Alaska Legion league game.

Twins pitcher Malakai Olson held Service in-check through the first four innings and allowed a single run in the fifth inning.  Hunter Williams closed on the mound for the Twins allowing a run in the seventh inning.  Williams also collected two hits at the plate.

The first game of the doubleheader counts on the league standings and the Twins drop to 3-2 in league play.

 

Twins 12 – Service 6  Non-League Game

In the non-league game, the Post 20 Twins score 12 runs with eight runs in the final two innings.  Service lead 2-0 after one inning; the Twins scored three runs in the bottom of the second.  Service re-took the lead at 5-4 after three innings.

The Twins scored 12 runs on six hits.
