Alaska State Troopers responded to a report on Wednesday of last week of a burglary at mile marker 122 in Nilnilchik of the Sterling Highway, located near Wildrose Lane. The caller who alerted authorities had photographed the suspects and the suspect vehicle.
An investigation revealed that 47-year-old Cimmaron Tangman of Anchor Point and 37-year-old Charles Tangman of Anchor Point were photographed with stolen property in their possession. This reportedly happened at around 9:30 p.m. that evening, according to the online state trooper dispatch. A further investigation revealed that multiple catalytic converters were cut from vehicles on the property.
On Monday of this week, both Cimmaron and Charles were contacted and placed under arrest for burglary in the second degree, theft in the second degree, theft in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, criminal trespass in the first degree, and possession of burglary tools.
Cimmaron received an additional charge of violating conditions of release.
Both were arrested and transported to the Homer Jail where they were remanded and held without bail.
