With the deadline less than a week away, two people have submitted applications to be appointed to Seat F of the Soldotna City Council.
City Clerk Shellie Saner says former Seat C candidate Dan Nelson and Timothy Cashman Jr. have submitted packets.
The filing deadline is November 2 and interviews by the council will be held during the Tuesday, November 10 meeting.”
Nelson was narrowly beat for Seat A in the October 6 municipal elections, incumbent Linda Murphy gained just 42 votes more.
Cashman regularly attends City Council meetings and has been serving on the city’s Annexation Advisory Committee since 2014.
The seat up for appointment was vacated after former Seat F council member Pete Sprague was elected as Soldotna’s new mayor.
