2 Positive COVID-19 Cases, Including 1 Kenai Case

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported two new positive COVID-19 cases in their Thursday update. That makes the total positive case count in the state 374. One case is in Kenai, the other in Eagle River.

 

Of the two new Alaska cases, one is a female and one is a male. One is aged 20-29 and one is aged 30-39.

 

The total number of recovered patients, as of Thursday’s update, stands at 291.

 

The number of active cases in the state is 73. The active case-count has not been at 100 or higher since April 20.

 

The total number of tests conducted in the state thus far is 24,341‬‬‬‬.

 

These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on May 6.
