The State Medical Examiner has confirmed the adult sets of remains found last weekend were those of Rebecca Adams and Brandon Jividen.
The remains of the children are believed to be those of Jaracca and Michelle Hundley but those are pending further confirmation by DNA.
On Monday, Kenai Police Lt. Dave Ross extended condolences to the family during a press conference on the remains which had been found not far from the missing family’s home over the weekend.
Lt. Ross: “To start with our hearts really go out to the families of the missing people, they’ve been through a long ordeal as well as many of their friends and the people in the community so hopefully we start to move closer to a resolution for them.”
The identification of the other sets of remains could take a couple weeks, according to Kenai Police, who stated they do not intend on releasing any more information until that time.
23-year-old Rebecca Adams and her boyfriend 38-year-old Brandon Jividen disappeared with Becca’s two daughters, 6-year-old Michelle Hundley and 3-year-old Jaracca Hundley some time between May 27 and June 7th 2014.
During Monday’s press conference, the families of the missing four requested space and said they do not plan to provide any interviews.
