Alaska’s U.S. congressional delegation is wishing everyone the merriest of Christmas.

Junior U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan is visiting the Kenai Peninsula for the holidays.

U.S. Sen. Sullivan: “I want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, for those that celebrated Channuka, Happy Channuka. Certainly I know that we’re all keeping our military members, men and women serving overseas, protecting us, sacrificing, risking their lives, in our thoughts and prayers over the holidays because they’re not home with families, they’re not blessed the way we are to be home, they’re keeping us safe. And I just want to let everybody know what an honor it is to serve as your senator.”

Senator Lisa Murkowski recorded a greeting while ringing Salvation Army bells in Anchorage.

U.S. Sen. Murkowski: “Merry Christmas, it’s good to be home for the holidays, we’re here ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. It’s an honor to be out helping them, this is the time and the spirit of Christmas and the spirit of giving so it’s wonderful to be home and to be sharing.”

And U.S. Representative Don Young reminded Alaskans that our state and country are both still the best.

U.S. Rep. Young: “This is Congressman Young and Congressman Young’s Christmas tree in his office. I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, think of the joy of the State of Alaska, and the joy of this great nation. We have challenges and we have problems but we also have the ability to solve those challenges and those problems. Let’s look forward to a happy year, 2016 will be immensely great.”
