An AST investigation of a vehicle collision early Wednesday morning, led to the assault of a police officer and an arrest.
Just after 2am Wednesday morning, Soldotna Troopers responded to a vehicle collision. While investigating the incident, troopers contacted Trina Hall, 55 of Kenai, when she drove upon the scene. It is unclear whether Hall was stopped by troopers, or if she approached the scene by choice.
Shortly thereafter Hall was discovered to be impaired by alcoholic beverages. Additionally, she was found to be on conditions of release for a past driving under the influence arrest, and her conditions included she was to obey all laws and not to consume alcoholic beverages. She was arrested for driving under the influence and violating conditions of release.
When asked to provide a breath sample, as required by state statues, Hall refused and was subsequently also arrested for refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Troopers then transported Hall to Central Peninsula Hospital for a blood draw. When hospital staff attempted to obtain a blood sample for blood-alcohol, however, Hall struck a trooper in the chest with two closed fists, at which point was also arrested for fourth degree assault on a police officer.
She was remanded at the Wildwood pretrial facility.
