Upgrades to Vaughn’s Mini-Mart Finished for Now

On Saturday Vaughn’s Mini-Mart on K-Beach Road had their Grand Re-Opening after making upgrades over the past few months.

One of the biggest changes is the newly installed gas pumps that now offer diesel fuel. Vaughn’s Owner Costa Alexandropoulos commented on what brought on the changes.

Costa: “We had a lot of requests for people to, you know we had people asking us for years, ‘When you guys going to get diesel? When you guys going to get diesel?’ So we finally did it and we got it.”

The makeover also included some maintenance and interior upgrades like more snacks to choose from. Alexandropoulos said some of the changes have been on the docket since he bought it.

Costa: “About 5 years ago I took over. What we did now is, We needed to do this anyway for a long time, we upgraded all the dispensers, we always had a problem up here in the winter with water coming through, so we had to elevate where all the dispensers are. We put a new canopy covering going all the way to the building. And we still have a few things to do here in the spring because we did this project obviously in the winter time so we couldn’t finish but you know we’re trying, we’re not the big company stores so we’re just trying to keep up with them.”
