This Saturday, October 18, Sen. Peter Micciche will host a barbecue with the Governor followed by community meeting at the Kenai Visitor’s Center.
Sen. Micciche invited a variety of authorities from around the state to address the onslaught of recent drug-related crimes.
Sen. Micciche: “At 1:30, citizens are invited to attend a town hall style meeting to discuss options with Colonel James Cockrell, he’s the Director of the Alaska State Troopers and Captain Andy Greenstreet, the Trooper E Detachment Commander. Administration Health and Social Service leadership associated with Alaska drug rehabilitation programs and Scot Leaders from the Kenai District Attorney’s Office have also been invited to the meeting, however we’re still awaiting confirmation. So it will be an opportunity for the community to come and have some open dialog with Alaska State Trooper leadership to talk about some options for better distribution and coverage.”
The barbecue with Governor Sean Parnell will offer free hot dogs and start at 12 noon.
Anyone interested may call Sen. Peter Micciche’s office at 283-7996.
