Conference volleyball tournaments statewide will crown champions and determine state tournament qualifiers with teams seeded into the tournaments based on regular season records.
Northern Lights Conference Volleyball: Soldotna Stars
The Soldotna Stars, playing in Division I volleyball, open play in the Northern Lights Conference Volleyball Tournament with a #5 SoHi vs #4 Wasilla first round pairing at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 4th at Palmer High School. SoHi completed the regular season with an 0-8 conference record. The Colony Knights earned the #1 seed with an 8-0 record in the five-team NLC. (bracket located below)
Southcentral Conference Volleyball: Kenai, Nikiski, Homer, Seward
The eight-team Southcentral Conference Volleyball Tournament features two days of bracket action with the teams divided and seeded by South and North. Kenai earns the #1S seed with a 10-0 conference record. Grace Christian earns the #1N top seed.
Tournament play begins on Friday, November 5th at Redington High School. Kenai draws #4N ACS in the 9 a.m. game. Nikiski, #4S seed, opens against Grace Christian on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Homer, #2S, plays Houston; #3S Seward matches-up against host Redington in the first round.
