Volleyball Opens Dual Play Tuesday At Kenai & Homer

The regular season for high school volleyball, following invitational tournament play at the Shayna Pritchard Tournament, opened head-to-head competition on Tuesday, September 1st.

The Kenai Kardinals held-off the Nikiski Bulldogs at KCHS.  Nikiski takes game one 25-22; Kenai rallies 25-8; Nikiski wins game three 25-20 and Kenai takes game four 25-9.  The final game goes to the Kards 15-7.

The Soldotna Stars traveled to Homer sweeping the Mariners 3-0.  SoHi recorded wins of 25-20, 25-19, 25-18.

Both pairing were non-conference, non-divisional contests.  The Kardinals and Stars play in the 4A classification, Northern Lights Conference; the Bulldogs and Mariners play in the 3A classification, Southcentral Conference.

 

SoHi travels to Anchorage for non-conference matches against Anchorage Christian School on Friday and Grace Christian School on Saturday.
