Volleyball Regular Season Ends; Teams Ready For Conference Tournaments

The Soldotna Stars, Nikiski Bulldogs and  Kenai Kardinals closed-out play in the regular season on Saturday and now ready for conference tournaments beginning Thursday, November 3rd.

SoHi downs Nikiski 3-1

The Stars took three of four games against the Nikiski Bulldogs at SoHi on Saturday.  SoHi Senior Day featured a seven kill and 14 service point day by senior Drewe Zeek; Ayla Pitt lead Nikiski with seven kills and three blocks.

Kenai defeats Kodiak 3-0 Friday; Kodiak wins in five on Saturday

The Kards sweep Kodiak in three straight on Friday; however, fall to the Bears in five games on Saturday in Kodiak.

 

Conference Tournament Preview

The Northern Lights Conference tournament is scheduled for Thursday – Saturday, November 3rd – 5th at Wasilla High School.

The Warriors earn the #1 seed with a 9-1 NLC record.  The SoHi girls are the #2 seed into the NLC tournament with a 6-4 record; Colony, Palmer, Kenai and Kodiak round-out the bracket.

The Southcentral Conference tournament is scheduled for Houston High School on Friday and Saturday, November 4th and 5th.

The Grace Christian Schools Grizzlies earn the #1 seed with a 12-0 record, followed by the Bulldogs at 10-2 in the Southcentral Conference.

Tournament brackets and game times should be confirmed on Monday.
