The 4A and 3A state volleyball tournaments continue with championship Saturday at the Alaska Airlines Center on the campus of the University of Alaska, Anchorage.

Friday Game Results: Kodiak 3 – SoHi 0
The Soldotna Stars were eliminated in the ASAA 4A State Volleyball Championships on Friday, falling in three, straight games to the Kodiak Bears.
Thursday Game Results: Dimond 3 – SoHi 0
The Soldotna Stars fell in three-straight games to the Dimond Lynx in its tournament opener and SoHi will now play on Friday at 1:00 p.m. (note time change), hoping to continue in the 4A tournament. The Stars will face Kodiak, first round losers to East Anchorage 3-1, in an elimination contest. A win for the Stars and SoHi continues to a 5:00 p.m. game against Wasilla.
In Thursday’s opening game, Dimond downed SoHi 25-17, 25-7 and 25-17; Sylvia Tuasaula lead SoHi with eight kills.
With the double-back, double-elimination format, the Stars could win-out for a run at the state championship.

3A Volleyball: Valdez 3 – Homer 0
The Homer Mariners dropped their first-round game at the 3A state volleyball tournament to Valdez in three straight. Homer faces Kotzebue at 1:00 p.m. Friday
