Twenty volleyball teams from the 4A and 3A classifications will battle in two-days of competition in the Dimond/Service Volleyball Tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 19-20 with Kenai, Nikiski and Soldotna among the collection of teams from Anchorage, Fairbanks, the Valley, Juneau and the Kenai Peninsula.
Pool play is scheduled for Friday’s rounds with games at both Dimond and Service High Schools. The SoHi Stars will play in Pool B; the Kenai Kardinals will play in Pool C; and Nikiski will play in Pool D. The top two teams in each pool following the round-robin pairings advance to the tournament’s Gold Bracket for Saturday. Third and fourth place teams move to the Silver Bracket and the fifth place teams will meet in the Bronze Bracket. Bracket play fills Saturday’s schedule.
