Volleyball Weekend Featured Head-To-Head & Round-Robin Play

The second week of high school volleyball competition featured head-to head pairings at Kenai and Nikiski and a round-robin challenge at Soldotna High School.

 

Kenai 3 – Seward 0

The Kardinals produced a sweep of the Seahawks on Friday at KCHS.  Kenai won game one 25-16, downed Seward 27-25 in game two and closed the match with a 25-11 game three.  The Kardinals showed a balanced attack at the net with Andie Galloway recording six kills; Abby Every, six kills; Bethany Morris, five kills and Emma Beck, four kills.

Homer 3 – Nikiski 0

The Mariners traveled to Nikiski and delivered a three-game sweep over the Bulldogs 25-12, 25-18 and 25-16.  Savannah Ley lead the Bulldogs with 10 kills in the loss.

 

SoHi Peninsula Round Robin

The SoHi Peninsula Round Robin featured varsity and junior varsity teams from SoHi, Kenai and Seward in a round-robin format with varsity teams playing varsity teams and jv vs jv.  Results were not submitted to radiokenai for posting.
