Sunday, September 4, is the last day to register to vote in the October 4, 2016 Regular Municipal Election.
Kenai City Clerk, Sandra Modigh…
Modigh: “The last day to register in order to qualify to vote in the October 4 local election is September 4. Your voter information should be updated if your name has changed, if you’ve moved, if you received a new address as a result of 911 mapping, or if you think an error has been made regarding your precinct placement.”
In order to be able to vote, registration is required to be done 30 days prior to Election Day.
Modigh: “There isn’t a grace period. You have to register within 30 days or you are not eligible to vote in the local election.”
The Division of Elections has a new online registration process that can be accessed here to register or it can be done in either the Soldotna or Kenai city clerk offices.
