Weather Prompts M/V Kennicott’s Delay Leaving Prince William Sound

The Alaska Department of Transportation announced on Monday that the M/V Kennicott will be delayed in leaving Prince William Sound. Hurricane-force winds and heavy seas in the gulf are to blame for the delay, which will last until Wednesday.

 

The ship will sail non-revenue from Cordova to Valdez, laying over at the City Dock in Valdez. No passengers or vehicles will be able to board.

 

The Department of Transportation recommends anyone with questions call the Alaska Marine Highway System reservation call center by dialing (907) 465-3941, or (800) 642-0066.
