Late Saturday (March 28) night a suspect in bar disturbance fled Troopers, resulting in a wreck and DUI arrest of Justin Hoff.

Megan Peters with the Alaska State Troopers said Bureau of Highway Patrol responded to the report of an assault at the Duck Inn but were told the suspect had left in his silver Jeep.

Peters: “A Soldotna Police officer spotted him and attempted to pull him over and Mr. Hoff took off and he ended up at Skyview Middle School. It appears that when he was going by the entrance he crossed over and went off into the ditch and then was able to pull back up into the parking lot but going in the ditch caused his jeep to become disabled, something went on with the tire, they were able to make contact with him there.”

Officers identified the driver as 26 year-old Hoff of Soldotna.

Further investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol and driving impaired. Background also showed his Washington drivers license had been revoked due to a previous DUI offense.

He was arrested for DUI, driving while license revoked and fail to stop at the direction of a peace officer 1st.

He also refused a brethalizer and was additionally charged with refusal to submit to a chemical test.
