This event is for households and small businesses. All businesses must pre-register with US Ecology. Households with 55 gallons or more total must also pre-register. US Ecology manages this event; the Kenai Peninsula Borough Solid Waste Dept. provides the location.

Let’s talk food!  Join us for this fun program every third Tuesday of the month.  Share your favorite recipe(s) with your fellow foodies.  This month’s theme is: Hummus!  Bonus points if your recipes are inspired by literary titles, characters, or authors.  We will be making hummus after our discussion.

Topic: Sockeye Fishing Tips and Tactics. Grow your skills to be a better sockeye angler!

Join us at the library the third Wednesday of every month to work on coding and STEAM projects using a variety of tools. We’ll learn how to code, create games, make digital music, meet new friends, and more! This month we’ll learn how to code Ozobot robots to do tasks using color.

Every third Thursday of the month- Join us for an hour of story time, hands on games, snack and a craft all around a specific theme.  Priority is given to 2-5 year olds who haven’t started kindergarten but siblings are welcome to attend too.  Programs will be outside the Environmental Education Center.

August theme is SALMON SHARKS

This workshop is for those who have a new Android mobile device, or are considering getting one, and want to learn more about the basic functions. Learn how to get connected, identify common apps, and build confidence in using their device safely.
