Extending their earlier weather advisory, the National Weather Service in Anchorage is expecting the Kenai Peninsula to see an additional snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches.
According to the alert, heavy snowfall is expected on the western Kenai Peninsula north of Anchor Point, including Kenai, Soldotna, and Nikiski. The advisory is an extension of an earlier advisory issued for the same area, now having an expiration of 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
