Winter Weather Advisory For Second Round of Heavy Snow Across The Kenai Peninsula

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory is in effect Noon Wednesday until to Noon Thursday for large amounts of snow for the cities for Kenai, Soldotna, Nikiski, Homer and Cooper Landing.

 

Heavy snow is expected throughout. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, with localized amounts up to 12 inches, are expected. Highest amounts north of the Sterling Highway.

 

Plan on slippery road conditions. Expect reduced visibilities at times.

 

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
