Wolverines Claim Interior Title: Ready For State

The reigning 2022 2A state champion Ninilchik Wolverines completed a major step towards a 2023 state basketball repeat dominating the field at the 2A Interior Conference Basketball Tournament hosted at Glennallen.

 

Ninilchik 60 – Cordova 31

The Wolverines cruised past Cordova 60-31 in Friday night’s Interior Conference championship game led by Jaylin Scott with 18 points and Colvin Moore with 17 points.

 

The Ninilchik boys will likely be the #1 seed into the ASAA 2A State Basketball Championships and will open defense of its title against the #8 seed into the tournament.

Brackets for the 2023 state tournaments will be released during the ASAA March Madness Selection Show on Sunday at 6 p.m. presented on the NFHS network.  For a free link to the broadcast, click here!
