A pair of conference wrestling tournaments featuring Kenai Peninsula wrestlers open competition on Friday and continue through the championship rounds on Saturday.
Kachemak Conference Tournament: Boys & Girls (Division II)
Peninsula teams eligible to compete: Kenai, Nikiski, Home, Seward, CIA, Seldovia, Ninilchik, Nikolaevsk, Seldovia, Voznesenka
Other conference members: Grace Christian, Anchorage Christian, Houston, Redington, Cordova, Holy Rosary, Kodiak ESSS, Old Harbor (Kodiak), Wasilla Lake
Boys Division
The Kachemak Conference reigning five-time champion Homer Mariners are the team to beat with Grace Christian in the hunt for the conference title.
The top-three in each weight class will advance to the ASAA Division II State Wrestling Championships on December 20-21 at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage.
Girls Division
The girls division of the Kachemak Conference also crowns individual champions and qualifies two wrestlers per weight class to the ASAA Girls Wrestling State Championships. All state qualifying girls, Division I and Division II, compete for the Alaska girls wrestling individual championships.

Boys Division
The Colony Knights are the favorites based on strength of wrestlers and depth of the Knights’ program.
The top-five in each weight class advance to the ASAA Division I State Wrestling Championships on December 20-21 at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage.
Girls Division
The Kenai Kardinal girls wrestle in the Northern Lights Conference along with SoHi, Colony, Wasilla, Palmer, Kodiak. The top-two in each weight class advance to the combined Division I and Division II Girls State Wrestling Championships on December 20-21 at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage.
