Kodiak Basketball Tournament Re-Shuffled Due To Travel Rescheduling

Weather and airline cancellations won the unofficial Sunday first round of the 2021 Joe Floyd Basketball Tournament in Kodiak with Nikiski and SoHi girls and boys unable to fly to “The Rock” from Anchorage.

Nikiski, SoHi, North Pole and Bethel, all scheduled to play in the three-day, bracketed tournament at Kodiak High School, were unable to get to Kodiak in preparation for Monday’s first round of basketball.

The teams have been rescheduled onto Monday flights with the Nikiski boys on a morning flight and the Nikiski girls and SoHi girls and boys scheduled for the afternoon flight to Kodiak.

A new tournament bracket will be released when confirmation of team arrivals and the game schedule is re-evaluated.

Once tournament play begins, all games involving Nikiski and SoHi will be broadcast on ESPN 1140AM and 96.9FM and streamed live at radiokenai.com

Updates (and hopefully brackets) will be posted at radiokenai.com on the sports page and on Facebook at KSRM 920AM and KSLD 1140AM when made available.
