Get Another “Shot” For Your Flu Vaccine At The CPH Community Health Fair

To all the individuals that could not participate in the Central Peninsula Hospital free drive-thru flu shot clinic this year, don’t worry! You’ll be able to get another “shot” at it by attending the  Community Health Fair, Saturday, October 28th, from 8 a.m. to noon in the CPH River Tower.

 

CPH Director of External Affairs Bruce Richards says that the drive-thru event was originally intended to help individuals get their vaccines before flu season hit. But he also understands that life can get busy sometimes, which is why the CPH wanted to offer another opportunity to get your flu shots, while also getting some other check-ups done as well.

 

“We have a community health fair coming up on the 28th. If you missed this somehow, you will get another shot at it, but you can also get. Some some labs done. You know we have discounted labs that we do this every year and. It’s it’s really a really good deal for people to go and figure out know their numbers and we encourage people to know their numbers and keep track of them,” says Richards.

 

At this event, individuals can get can their free flu shots, but also get their blood pressure checked as well. They will also be offering lab work opportunities for blood chemistry panels, thyroid checks, prostate exams, as well as checking your vitamin D2 and D3, and hemoglobin A1C.

 

You can even guarantee your spot and skip the line by pre-registering at their website at https://www.cpgh.org/fair. Payments will be made at the fair for these labs. Insurance will not be taken at the event, but you can send the receipts to your insurance company for reimbursement.
