Homer Electric Association will hold a dedication ceremony (Thursday) May 1 for the Nikiski Generation Plant at 10 am.
Joe Gallagher with HEA gave us more details.
Gallagher: “The public is welcome to attend the ceremony, the plant has been operating for several months now but we are just now getting ready for the dedication ceremony and again we invite the public to attend and following the ceremony, which will be short, we will be providing tours of the plant as well as tours of the nearby Bernice Lake Power Plant, so again we encourage all our members who can make it to attend.”
Tours of both power plants will be offered until 3pm.
