Two Arrested In Seward For Driving With License Suspended And Unauthorized Person To Drive

Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a blue Jeep at the bed and breakfast known as the Farm for a driver known as being suspended. This happened reportedly Monday night in Seward around 9:00 p.m., according to the online state trooper dispatch.

 

An investigation revealed 58-year-old William Spiers of Hope was driving on a suspended license with no insurance. The passenger, 51-year-old Diana Spiers of Hope knew of William’s suspension and authorized an unauthorized person to drive. A further investigation revealed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle with a controlled substance and a firearm in Diana’s possession.

 

Both were transported to the Seward Community Jail where they were held for multiple charges and released on their own recognizance. Diana was arrested for misconduct involving weapons in the fifth degree, misconduct involving controlled substance in the fifth degree, and allowing an unauthorized person to drive. William was arrested for driving while license is suspended with prior convictions, no motor vehicle liability insurance, and misconduct involving controlled substance.

 

An investigation is still ongoing for possible further charges.
