Vendor Outage Leaves AlaskaJobs Website Unavailable

The state Department of Labor and Workforce Development reports that the Alaska jobs website, Alaskajobs.alaska.gov, is currently not available due to outages experienced by the external vendor, and the website is expected to be out of service for the next several days.

The employment registration process for new Unemployment Insurance (UI) claimants, and the ability to utilize the system for job search and matching of Alaska job seekers to employers, will continue once the system is back online. The Department of Labor says that claims filing and processing is a separate system and, as a result, it is not impacted. Unemployment Insurance claimants needing to register and create a resume should continue to check the availability of AlaskaJobs to complete these requirements.

Department of Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Dr. Tamika L. Ledbetter said:

“Our system vendor is working diligently to fix the issue impacting multiple states, and we hope to have AlaskaJobs back up and running very soon to serve Alaska’s jobseekers and employers.”

Due to the outage, unemployed Alaskans are also encouraged to contact the local Alaska Job Center in Kenai and also in Homer for job search assistance:

  • KENAI: 11312 Kenai Spur Highway, Suite 2, Kenai AK 99611 – Phone: (907) 335-3000 – Fax: (907) 335-3050 – [email protected]
  • HOMER: 3670 Lake St., Suite 300, Homer, AK 99603-7655 – Phone: (907) 226-3040 – Fax: (907) 235-6143 – [email protected]

This is an ongoing issue and the state labor department will provide more information as the situation develops.
