Additional NTSB Details Released in Rediske Air 2013 Crash

The National Transportation Safety Board released an additional report detailing contents of five iPhones and one digital camera recovered from the Rediske Air crash of July 7, 2013.

 

As we previously reported, the cause of the crash is yet to be released however documents and descriptions of photos and videos recovered from those electronic devices have been released.

 

Three videos were recovered from one phone: the first and second showed a view out of the plane as it taxied to the runway as well as the passenger seating arrangement and luggage in the cabin prior to the accident.

 

The third video shows lift off at about 45 seconds in. Impact was recorded at one minute, one second of the video and fire is visible about 46 seconds later.

 

Audio from all three videos was recorded and indicated normal operation of the aircraft according to the Specialist’s Factual Report filed with the NTSB.
