Alaska Communications Working to Fix Email Delays

Author: KSRM News Desk |

Customers of Alaska Communications may have noticed delays when sending emails. Associate Manager for Corporate Communications Hannah Blankenship detailed the issue.

Blankenship: “Alaska Communications has identified an increase in spam or phishing emails coming to our customers and as a result of the higher volume of spam, Alaska Communications has worked with other service providers to identify and to remove these fraudulent messengers for our customers because our customers privacy and security is really our top priority. As a result of removing these messages some customers may be experiencing delays with email activity as we work to remove these messenges. This process and the associated delays should resolve no later than Saturday morning.”

Blankenship reassured that this is a common practice and said that Alaska Communications will never solicit personal information electronically.
