Alaska LNG Studying Cook Inlet Crossing Options

Author: KSRM News Desk |

Today KSRM was able to tour the proposed Alaska LNG Project site.

We spoke with  the Fugro Geoservices’ Jim Carothers about some of what is being explored for the project.

Carothers: “We’re looking at two different routes right now to bring the pipeline across, so basically is a recon, what we’re doing is we wanna see what the tempography is out there and neither one of those maybe suitable but they’ve kind at previous data from NOAA and picked out a couple of potential pipe line drifts across the inlet.”

He said so far nothing is surprising in their findings.

Carothers said laying the pipeline across the inlet is nothing that hasn’t been done before.
