The 2022 Kenai Peninsula Borough Cross Country Running Championships were contested on the Homer Split trails, hosted by Homer High School, and the top runners from peninsula high schools led the pack for borough individual championships.
Seward’s Hailey Ingalls won the girls competition posting a time of 19:08 followed by 2021 champion Kenai’s Jayna Boonstra at 19:21 and SoHi’s Tania Boonstra in 20:16.
In the boys varsity race, Homer’s Seamus McDonough topped the field in 15:21, running away from the pack on the Homer Spit course. Kenai’s Greg Fallon finished second in 16:49.
