In a Joint Floor Session the Alaska State Legislature confirmed three to the Board of Fish and Robert Rabinow to the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation.
Sen. John Coghill read those to be considered for the Board of Fish.
Coghill: “There’s an objection to Susan Jeffery, we’ll roll Susan Jeffery to the bottom of the calendar; John Jensen, John Jensen will be moved to the bottom; Frederick Fritz Johnson, Reed Morisky.”
Despite objections Susan Jeffrey and John Jensen were confirmed along with Reed Morisky to the Board of Fish.
Controversial appointee Robert Rabinow was also confirmed to the AGDC Board.
Sen. Hollis French said the reasons for objections weren’t personal.
French: “I oppose Mr. Rabinow’s confirmation to the Alaska Gasline Development Corporate Board for two reasons: One, he’s not an Alaskan. Two, he’s spent nearly his entire professional career for one oil company.”
Rabinow was confirmed to the board with a 43-17 vote.
