Peninsula Oilers Begin Final Homestand On Wednesday

The playoff push is on for the Peninsula Oilers, battling for the final Alaska Baseball League Top of the World Series playoff seed. With one final week remaining in the ABL regular season, the Oilers close out with their final homestand of the summer against the ABL leading Anchorage Bucs.

 

The first contest in the five-game series begins on Wednesday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park at 6 p.m.  Note the time change for night games in late July.

 

Central Peninsula Hospital Night at the Ballpark on Wednesday will feature raffles, “prostate cancer” jersey sales, informational material and also free hot dogs, chips and coca-cola.

 

Oilers vs Bucs schedule: (free games in bold)

Wednesday:  Central Peninsula Hospital (CPH), 6 p.m.

Thursday: 6 p.m.

Friday: Kendall Ford Night, 6 p.m.

Saturday: Dolifka & Associates Night, 6 p.m.

Sunday: Coca-Cola, 2 p.m.

*Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks: 13-25

*Peninsula Oilers: 13-26

 

*Oilers hold tie-breaker against Chinooks in event of tie for final ABL Top of the World series playoff spot at the end of the season.
