The Soldotna Stars rally from a four-run deficit and the Kenai Kardinals threaten in the seventh in a 10-8 SoHi baseball victory on Tuesday at the Soldotna field.
SoHi 10 – Kenai 8
The Kardinals built a 6-2 lead through two innings and a three-run, third inning for SoHi closed the game to 6-5 Kards. The Stars battled to a 7-6 lead in the fourth inning and extended to 10-6. In the seventh inning trailing 10-8, Kenai stranded a pair of runners and the Stars recorded a 10-8 victory.
Homer 11 – Kenai 3
The Homer Mariner girls downed Kenai 11-3 in Homer on Tuesday in high school softball action.
Runs were hard to come by early with Kenai leading 1-0 into the fourth inning. Homer scored four runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth.
