Peninsula Conference soccer continued a full first week of May with a sweep by the Soldotna Stars over the Nikiski Bulldogs on Wednesday at Justin Maile Field at SoHi.
SoHi Girls 7 – Nikiski Girls 1
SoHi’s Bay Bloom scored a pair of goals and Jazzalynn McDonald, Morgan Lemm, Liberty Miller, Sadie Lane and Zayra Poage added single goals in a 7-1 SoHi victory. The Bulldog’s Avery White scored a second half goal for the Bulldogs.
SoHi Boys 11 – Nikiski Boys 1
Six, first half goals and five goals in the second half marked the balanced attack of the SoHi boys in an 11-1 victory over Nikiski.
Star goals were scored by: Andrew Arthur (2), Lane Hillyer (2), Luke Hillyer (2), Gehret Medcoff, Tim Karnerl, Harold Rudstrom, Samuel Strouse and Simon Willets.
Niles Broussard scored the lone goal for Nikiski; the Bulldogs competing with only nine players.
