A full volleyball weekend opened on Thursday with non-conference and conference contests for central peninsula teams.
SoHi 3 – Nikiski 0
The Soldotna Stars volleyball program is on a mid-season roll recording a second match victory over a peninsula team to close-out September.
SoHi completed a three-game sweep of the Nikiski Bulldogs in Nikiski on Thursday downing the Bulldogs 25-21, 25-15 and 25-22.
Katelyn Morrison recorded 12 kills and four service aces to lead the Stars. Ashlynne Playle led the Bulldogs with six kills.
Kenai 3 – Redington 0
The Kenai Kardinals recorded a Southcentral Conference sweep of the Redington Huskies on Thursday to open the Kardinals road swing in the Valley. Kenai downed Redington 25-12, 25-16 and 25-13 and Kenai remains unbeaten in the SCC with a 4-0 record.
Emma Beck lead the Kardinals at the net recording 10 kills and Kim Chanley totaled 36 digs and six aces.
