The Soldotna Fieldhouse is on the ballot for October 4, 2022. All City of Soldotna resident’s will get to vote on the bond ordinance.
The Supporters of the Soldotna Fieldhouse will be holding an open meeting at the Soldotna Library on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the project and to continue organizing support.
According to organizers: There is no sales tax increase proposed on this bond ordinance.

According to Queen, no increases on Soldotna property taxes or sales taxes have been necessary for the numerous projects completed in Soldotna for the past nearly 40 years.
Queen also discussed “no plans to do that (raise taxes)” in Soldotna and the increase in revenue from sales tax to the City o f Soldotna…
The bond will be set at a maximum amount of $15 million with the possibility of numerous grants and additional funding sources allowing for an even-smaller bond package.

Support material and yard signs will be available and supporters are being asked to assist in getting out the “Yes” vote. Organizers are anticipating an extremely tight (as evidenced last time) election.
