The 2022 West Spiketacular volleyball tournament featured 21 varsity high school volleyball teams competing in two days of pool play and three, bracketed Saturday finals.
Kenai Kardinals
The Kenai Kardinals completed “Pool C” play with a game record of 8-4 recording 2-0 wins over East, Nikiski and Barrow and splits with Thunder Mountain and Service.
In the Championship (Gold) Bracket, the Kardinals loss to Colony 2-0. In the consolation round, Kenai defeated South 2-1.
SoHi Stars
The Soldotna Stars competed in ” Pool A” with a game record of 5-7 recording a 2-0 win over Grace and three splits with Seward, Wasilla and Chugiak.
In the Silver Bracket, SoHi defeated Barrow 2-0 and fell to Wasilla 2-1. SoHi setter Nicole Dickingson was named to the all-tournament team.
Nikiski Buldogs
The Nikiski Bulldogs competed in the “Pool C” with a game record of 2-10 recording splits with Service and East. In the consolation round, Nikiski defeated Grace 2-0.
